CVE-2026-98156

Cross-domain memory disclosure via guest-physical addresses

Published Sep 25, 2026 · Updated Sep 25, 2026

Information disclosure in Linux virtio-gpu allows attackers to expose another Xen domain's memory through framebuffer scanout. virtio_gpu_object_shmem_init() uses sg_phys() when VIRTIO_F_ACCESS_PLATFORM is absent, passing guest-physical page addresses to the host instead of DMA addresses. Exposure requires a Xen PV dom0 using virtio-vga without iommu_platform; PVH dom0 is identity-mapped and unaffected.
