Out-of-bounds read via undersized Bluetooth TLVs
Published Sep 25, 2026 · Updated Sep 25, 2026
Out-of-bounds reads in the Linux kernel allow attackers to read beyond an Intel Bluetooth version response via malformed TLVs. The btintel_parse_version_tlv() parser passes undersized type values to fixed-width get_unaligned_le16(), get_unaligned_le32(), or memcpy() operations without checking each type's minimum length. Reachability requires an Intel Bluetooth controller to return a malformed version TLV during driver setup; the sources document no remote path or resulting crash or disclosure.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
