CVE-2026-98106Hinoki check available

CPU hang via duplicate device-page migration

Published Sep 25, 2026 · Updated Sep 25, 2026

Denial of service in Linux 6.15 allows attackers to hang a CPU via concurrent migration of a device-private folio. The DRM pagemap CPU-fault path can migrate a folio while raw-PFN eviction still reaches the same source, leaving an uncharged folio on an LRU list. Triggering requires a device-private folio and overlapping fault and eviction activity; the observed consequence is a soft lockup and RCU stall.
