Unspecified impact via out-of-bounds init_config access
Published Sep 25, 2026 · Updated Sep 25, 2026
Out-of-bounds access in Linux 6.9 allows attackers to trigger an invalid init_configs array access through a topology config ID. avs_path_module_send_init_configs uses values from config_ids to index init_configs even when an ID equals or exceeds num_init_configs. Reachability requires the Intel AVS audio topology path; the upstream record does not identify a concrete security consequence beyond the invalid memory access.
