Unspecified impact via imprecise BPF argument tracking
Published Sep 25, 2026 · Updated Sep 25, 2026
Improper BPF verifier state pruning in Linux allows local users able to load BPF programs to cause unspecified impact through crafted input. In check_func_arg() and check_helper_call(), NULL-accepted scalar arguments are not marked precise, so checkpoints can prune states against arbitrary scalar values. Reaching the flaw requires permission to load a crafted BPF program; the upstream record does not identify a concrete confidentiality, integrity, or availability consequence.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
