Kernel crash via concurrent instance unhash
Published Sep 25, 2026 · Updated Sep 25, 2026
Race condition in affected Linux kernel versions allows attackers to crash the host via concurrent NFLOG instance destruction. Instance teardown can unlink a still-referenced queue from its hash twice when a pending netlink destruction event overlaps an UNBIND request from another socket using the same port ID. The trigger requires uncooperative userspace and precise timing, and the resulting general-protection fault interrupts the host.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
