Kernel memory use-after-free via asynchronous rx_work cancellation
Published Sep 25, 2026 · Updated Sep 25, 2026
Use-after-free in Linux btusb allows attackers to cause unspecified impact via a Bluetooth USB device disconnect race. btusb_close() and btusb_flush() cancel rx_work asynchronously, allowing btusb_disconnect() to free btusb_data while the worker still dequeues packets and calls recv_acl. Triggering the flaw requires driver teardown while rx_work is already running; the published material does not identify attacker privileges or a bounded consequence.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
