Traffic disruption via stale HTB scheduler topology
Published Sep 25, 2026 · Updated Sep 25, 2026
Improper resource cleanup in Linux 6.5 allows attackers to affect later scheduler-queue allocations via HTB offload teardown. The octeontx2-pf teardown path frees QoS scheduler queues without clearing NIX_AF_TLxX_TOPOLOGY, leaving PRIO_ANCHOR and RR_PRIO values in the shared pool. Reachability requires HTB hardware offload on supported OcteonTX2 networking hardware; residual priority state can influence queues allocated later.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
