Invalid file-open result via WARN_ON conversion
Published Sep 25, 2026 · Updated Sep 25, 2026
Error propagation in the Linux kernel 6.19 Ethos-U accelerator driver allows local users to receive an invalid file-open result. The ethosu_job_open() function wraps drm_sched_entity_init() with WARN_ON(), converting a negative initialization errno to positive 1 instead of returning it to the file-open path. Reaching the flaw requires an Ethos-U accelerator and a scheduler-entity initialization failure; public sources describe no further security consequence.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
