Unspecified impact via uninitialized IRQ spinlock
Published Sep 25, 2026 · Updated Sep 25, 2026
A race in the STI ASoC reader in affected Linux revisions allows attackers to cause unspecified impact during driver setup. uni_reader_init() registers the shared IRQ before initializing reader->irq_lock, allowing the handler to call spin_lock() on invalid lock state. Reachability requires an STI system using the affected ASoC reader and a pending interrupt in the narrow interval during initialization; no concrete security consequence has been published.
