Unspecified impact via Bluetooth teardown use-after-free
Published Sep 25, 2026 · Updated Sep 25, 2026
Use-after-free in the Linux btqcomsmd driver allows attackers to cause unspecified impact when WCNSS data arrives during teardown. The driver frees hci_dev before destroying command and ACL RPMsg endpoints, so a receive callback can dereference and pass the freed object into the Bluetooth core. Reachability requires Qualcomm WCNSS Bluetooth hardware and the narrow registration-error or driver-removal window; public sources do not characterize the resulting impact.
