Update-channel interception via manipulated package metadata
Published Sep 25, 2026 · Updated Sep 25, 2026
Channel access weakness in Zhonglun CloudPOS 3.0 allows remote attackers to intercept automatic updates via crafted update arguments. The Program.cs Automatic Update logic accepts manipulated version, URL, package key, and package name values, but the public record does not disclose the missing endpoint-verification operation. Exploitation requires a complex remote attack and exposes the update channel to an unintended endpoint; further consequences are not documented.
