User data disclosure via missing API permission check
Published Sep 25, 2026 · Updated Sep 25, 2026
Incorrect authorization in phpIPAM through 1.8.3 allows remote authenticated users to enumerate all users and administrators through its REST API. The GET handler in api/controllers/User.php accepts the admins and all identifiers without enforcing the API application's read-write-admin permission before returning user records. A valid API token is required, and the demonstrated consequence is disclosure of user records rather than modification of accounts or configuration.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
