Remote code execution via NVBURASDevice SQL injection
Published Jun 24, 2026 · Updated Jun 24, 2026
SQL injection in Quest NetVault Backup 14.0.0.19 allows remote attackers to execute arbitrary code through NVBURASDevice JSON-RPC messages. The NVBURASDevice handler fails to validate a user-supplied string before incorporating it into SQL queries. Authentication is nominally required but the existing mechanism is bypassable, and successful exploitation runs code as NETWORK SERVICE.
