Authenticated RCE via faulty update signature verification
Published Jun 24, 2026 · Updated Jun 24, 2026
Improper signature verification in ATEN Unizon 2.6.253.001 allows remote authenticated users to execute arbitrary code as SYSTEM. The updateWar method uses doCryptoHugeFileToFile with an incorrect cryptographic-signature verification implementation, allowing untrusted update content to pass. High-privilege authentication is required, and successful exploitation compromises the Windows host with SYSTEM privileges.
