Application crash via prototype pollution during serialization
Published Sep 25, 2026 · Updated Sep 25, 2026
Prototype pollution in React Native Reanimated's Worklets component before 0.12.2 allows remote attackers to crash applications. The cloneObjectProperties path copies enumerable attacker-controlled keys into an ordinary object, so assigning proto replaces its prototype during clonePlainJSObject serialization. Exploitation requires a consuming application to pass attacker-controlled data through this native serialization path; persisted data can retrigger the crash after restarts.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
