Unauthenticated executor access via unchecked JWT signatures
Published Oct 7, 2026 · Updated Oct 7, 2026
Authentication bypass in Apache Impala 4.1.0 through 4.5.2 allows remote attackers to access executor webserver resources via forged JWTs. The executor webserver accepts a syntactically valid bearer token without validating its signature. Exploitation requires the executor webserver to be reachable and configured for JWT/OAuth authentication; the reported access is limited to resources served by that webserver.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
