Stored XSS via unescaped review author name
Published Oct 2, 2026 · Updated Oct 2, 2026
Stored XSS in CusRev Customer Reviews for WooCommerce 5.122.0 and earlier lets remote attackers run scripts on review pages. With image attachments enabled, the public image-upload AJAX handler accepts a review bearing an entity-encoded malicious author name that the review display path fails to sanitize or escape. Exploitation requires that setting and a visitor opening the injected page; the script then runs in the visitor's browser.
