Subscriber-level product metadata modification via unchecked AJAX action
Published Sep 19, 2026 · Updated Sep 19, 2026
Authorization bypass in Empik for Woocommerce 1.5.1 and earlier allows remote authenticated users to modify arbitrary product metadata. The empik_csv_process_emp_log_classes AJAX handler invokes CSV import processing without verifying that the requester has permission to edit the targeted products. Subscriber-level access is sufficient to change logistic class, product state, export, and offer metadata for any WooCommerce product.
