Unauthenticated account takeover via unverified recovery tokens
Published Oct 14, 2026 · Updated Oct 14, 2026
Authentication bypass in Abandoned Cart Pro for WooCommerce 10.8.0 and earlier allows remote attackers to take over accounts via recovery links. The wcap_email_track_links() handler accepts malleable encrypted cart tokens without mandatory integrity or cart-ownership checks before creating an authentication cookie. Exploitation requires one legitimate recovery link and enabled auto-login, which defaults to enabled and is re-enabled during upgrades; affected accounts include administrators who have abandoned a cart.
