Course withdrawal via CSRF-enabled GET request
Published Sep 25, 2026 · Updated Sep 25, 2026
Cross-site request forgery in Student Management System 98760f5711cf6dc8b4adca53a9e207ca49b02ebf allows remote attackers to delete a pending course. The user/delCourse.php endpoint accepts a cid in a GET request and deletes the authenticated student's ungraded enrollment using only the ambient session cookie, without a CSRF token or origin check. Exploitation requires an authenticated student to visit attacker-controlled content; the forged request removes that student's pending course selection.
