Unauthenticated record modification via unguarded POST handler
Published Sep 25, 2026 · Updated Sep 25, 2026
Authorization bypass in ningzichun Student Management System allows remote attackers to alter student reward and disciplinary records. The user/editLog.php POST handler passes attacker-supplied record selectors and replacement values directly to an UPDATE query without starting or validating a session, checking a role, or confirming record ownership. Network access to the handler and knowledge of a student identifier and log timestamp are sufficient to forge or corrupt the matching history without an application account.
