Stored XSS via predictable parser noise-key restoration
Published Oct 16, 2026 · Updated Oct 16, 2026
Stored XSS in WPConsent 1.1.9 and earlier allows remote attackers to execute scripts through crafted WordPress comments. Simple HTML DOM Parser restores predictable noise keys from comment content into HTML attributes, turning event-handler text from one comment into executable markup through a second comment. Exploitation requires Script Blocking to be enabled, both coordinated comments to reach a rendered page, and a user to access that page; script execution occurs in the site's browser context.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
