Unauthenticated profile disclosure via feed content negotiation
Published Oct 6, 2026 · Updated Oct 6, 2026
Information disclosure in Gitea 28.0.0 and earlier allows remote attackers to read hidden profile details and public activity through RSS or Atom. The profile route dispatches requests with feed Accept headers before applying the visibility checks used by ordinary profile pages; its feed handler also omits the ENABLE_FEED check. Anonymous users, restricted users, and non-members can reach affected limited or private profiles, but activity in private repositories is not exposed.
