Service interruption via undersized MANA completion queue
Published Sep 25, 2026 · Updated Sep 25, 2026
Denial of service in the Linux MANA driver allows attackers to interrupt networking via a full receive completion queue. mana_create_rxq() allocates one CQE per posted RX WQE but does not reserve the additional CQE_RX_OBJECT_FENCE slot, so a full queue drops the fence completion. The condition requires a MANA adapter and a full receive queue when RX fencing runs; the driver then holds the RTNL lock until timeout.
