Use-after-free via requeued FIFOP work
Published Sep 25, 2026 · Updated Sep 25, 2026
Use-after-free in the Linux CC2520 driver allows attackers to trigger stale private-data access during device removal via unspecified vectors. The FIFOP interrupt can requeue cc2520_fifop_irqwork after cc2520_remove() flushes it, so the worker runs after its private data is released. Triggering requires CC2520 radio hardware and a precisely timed interrupt during driver removal; no crash, code execution, or data disclosure has been demonstrated.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
