Kernel use-after-free via aliased TPA pointers
Published Sep 25, 2026 · Updated Sep 25, 2026
Use-after-free in Linux bnxt_en allows attackers to free live RX-ring TPA state during a failed queue-restart allocation. bnxt_queue_mem_alloc() shallow-copies the live ring but leaves rx_tpa and rx_tpa_idx_map aliased, so error cleanup frees the original ring's storage. Triggering requires a queue restart and a later allocation failure; the published record establishes no remote trigger or specific crash, corruption, or disclosure outcome.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
