Zero DMA address use via ignored allocation failure
Published Sep 25, 2026 · Updated Sep 25, 2026
Improper error handling in the Linux bnxt_en driver allows RX-ring allocation failure to leave TPA using a zero DMA address. bnxt_init_nic() discards the error from bnxt_init_rx_rings() and continues into bnxt_init_chip(), enabling TPA over a partially zeroed rx_tpa array. The condition requires applicable Broadcom hardware, TPA enablement, and an allocation failure; published material does not document an attacker-controlled trigger or resulting system effect.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
