Unsafe device DMA via ignored allocation failure
Published Sep 25, 2026 · Updated Sep 25, 2026
Improper error handling in the Linux bnxt_en driver allows attackers to expose a zero DMA address after a TPA buffer allocation failure. bnxt_queue_mem_alloc() discards the -ENOMEM return from bnxt_alloc_one_tpa_info_data(), installs a partly initialized ring, and leaves later rx_tpa entries zeroed. Reachability requires TPA-capable bnxt_en hardware, an allocation failure, and selection of an uninitialized aggregate slot; the published analysis does not state the ultimate system effect.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
