Unspecified impact via out-of-bounds side-table index
Published Sep 25, 2026 · Updated Sep 25, 2026
Out-of-bounds access in the Linux kernel Pegasus USB network driver allows local users to cause unspecified impact via a dynamic USB ID. The probe routine subtracts a heap-backed usb_device_id pointer from the static pegasus_ids table and uses the wildly out-of-range result to index the PegasusDev side table. Reaching the flaw requires write access to the driver's sysfs dynamic-ID interface and a subsequent device probe; the kernel record does not specify the resulting impact.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
