Authenticated stack disclosure through crafted filemd5 commands
Published Jun 9, 2026 · Updated Jun 9, 2026
Information disclosure in MongoDB Server 8.2.0 through 8.2.9 and 8.3.0 through 8.3.2 allows remote authenticated users to read stack memory. Specially crafted filemd5 commands return limited amounts of uninitialized stack memory; MongoDB has not disclosed the faulty code path. The read role is sufficient to trigger the issue over a network connection, with no reported ability to alter data or interrupt service.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
Is a vulnerable build present?
Compare these published version ranges with your installed build and any vendor patches.
- Affected versionversion=8.2.0 <8.2.10
