Out-of-bounds access via dynamic USB device ID
Published Sep 25, 2026 · Updated Sep 25, 2026
Out-of-bounds access in the Linux kernel xusbatm USB ATM driver allows attackers to index outside driver arrays via a dynamic device ID. xusbatm_bind subtracts a heap-backed probe ID pointer from the static xusbatm_usb_ids table, producing a wildly out-of-range index into receive and transmit configuration arrays. Triggering the path requires adding a dynamic ID and probing a matching USB device; the published record does not specify the resulting impact.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
