Uninitialized-data disclosure via short HID reports
Published Sep 25, 2026 · Updated Sep 25, 2026
Information disclosure in the ASUS ROG Ryujin hardware-monitoring driver in Linux 6.9 allows local users to read stale HID-buffer data. The rog_ryujin_raw_event function parses response headers and type-specific payload fields before confirming that a received HID report contains them, so sysfs sensor reads can return uninitialized transport-buffer bytes. Reachability requires an attached ASUS ROG RYUJIN II 360 AIO cooler to deliver a short report; the documented consequence is incorrect sensor output and stale-byte disclosure.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
