Kernel crash via pending qpair teardown work
Published Sep 25, 2026 · Updated Sep 25, 2026
Use-after-free in the qla2xxx SCSI driver in Linux allows attackers to crash the kernel during queue-pair teardown. The response-queue interrupt handler can leave q_work pending after free_irq(), and qla2xxx_delete_qpair() frees its qpair and response queue before that work executes. Reaching the fault requires qla2xxx queue or adapter teardown; the stale qla_do_work() callback then dereferences freed kernel memory, producing a service-interrupting crash.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
