CVE-2026-97535Hinoki check available

Memory corruption via out-of-bounds VP bitmap write

Published Sep 25, 2026 · Updated Sep 25, 2026

Out-of-bounds write in the Linux qla2xxx SCSI driver allows attackers to corrupt kernel request data through a high virtual-port index. qla25xx_ctrlvp_iocb() derives a byte offset from vp_index and writes into the fixed 16-byte vp_idx_map without checking that the offset is below the array length. Reachability requires a QLogic Fibre Channel adapter whose firmware reports more than 128 virtual ports and an attempt to control an index above 128; adapters reporting 63 or 127 are unaffected.
