Use-after-free via stale platform-device pointer
Published Sep 24, 2026 · Updated Sep 24, 2026
Use-after-free in the Linux lenovo_se10_wdt driver before 6.12.111 and 6.18.53 allows attackers to trigger kernel memory misuse. When platform_device_add fails, se10_create_platform_device releases the device but leaves se10_pdev pointing to freed storage, while callback-based creation also mishandles initialization errors. Reachability requires a Lenovo SE10 platform and the driver initialization or error path; published evidence demonstrates no attacker-controlled trigger or impact beyond potential memory misuse and resource leakage.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
