CVE-2026-97499

Unspecified impact via CoreSight ETM callback race

Published Sep 24, 2026 · Updated Sep 24, 2026

A race condition in Linux before 6.18.53 allows local users to trigger unspecified impact through CoreSight ETM perf callbacks. The callbacks read the per-CPU csdev_src pointer while device registration or unregistration can update it, instead of retrieving the source from the event-data path. Reachability requires an Arm CoreSight ETM configuration and local perf-event access; no concrete security consequence is published.
