CVE-2026-97498Hinoki check available

System hang via evictable user-queue objects

Published Sep 24, 2026 · Updated Sep 24, 2026

Denial of service in Linux before 6.18.53 allows local users with AMDGPU render access to hang the system through active user queues. amdgpu_userq_create_object leaves MQD and firmware-object buffer objects evictable while GPU hardware continues using their addresses. Exploitation requires user-queue-capable AMD hardware, active queues, render-device access, and memory eviction pressure; stale addresses cause GPU page faults and a system hang.
