Kernel crash via unchecked block-size setup
Published Sep 24, 2026 · Updated Sep 24, 2026
Denial of service in the Linux qnx4 filesystem before 6.12.111 and before 6.18.53 allows local users to crash the kernel during mount. qnx4_fill_super() ignores a failed sb_set_blocksize() call and continues to __bread_gfp(), where folio_set_bh() triggers its offset bounds BUG. Triggering the crash requires administrative mount access, QNX4 filesystem support, and a QNX4 image on a device whose logical sector exceeds 512 bytes.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
