CVE-2026-97482

System crash via USB-reset NULL pointer dereference

Published Sep 24, 2026 · Updated Sep 24, 2026

NULL-pointer dereference in the Linux goku_udc driver allows physically proximate attackers to crash affected systems via a USB reset. Within goku_irq(), the INT_USBRESET logging path reads dev->driver->driver.name without checking whether dev->driver is NULL. The crash requires the Toshiba TC86C001 Goku-S PCI controller with CONFIG_USB_GOKU and a reset before driver binding or after unbinding.
