Stored XSS via excessive customer-role HTML capability
Published Oct 16, 2026 · Updated Oct 16, 2026
Stored XSS in comments in Themefic Tourfic 3.0.1 and earlier allows remote authenticated users to inject scripts via comments. The plugin grants the customer role unfiltered_html, allowing script-bearing comments that the public comments REST endpoint and RSS feeds return without sanitization. WooCommerce must be active; self-registration supplies customer access, and execution requires a client that renders the returned content unsafely, while the plugin's listing templates sanitize it.
