Salt disclosure via uninspected subquery function call
Published Sep 25, 2026 · Updated Sep 25, 2026
Authorization bypass in DALIBO PostgreSQL Anonymizer before 3.2.3 allows remote authenticated users to deduce the secret salt. The restricted-function scanner does not traverse SQL sublinks, so a masked role can invoke anon.hash() from a subquery and collect chosen-input hash outputs. Exploitation requires a database login, a masked role, and a configured salt; the resulting pairs support offline salt recovery and deanonymization.
