Service interruption via ACPICA length overflow
Published Sep 24, 2026 · Updated Sep 24, 2026
Integer overflow in Linux ACPICA allows attackers to interrupt service by supplying crafted AML to the Mid operator. The acpi_ex_opcode_3A_1T_1R function adds Index and Length without detecting wraparound, derives a negative truncation length, and passes that size to memcpy. Exposure requires ACPICA to evaluate attacker-controlled AML; the public reproducer aborts under AddressSanitizer, while no broader kernel impact has been published.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
