CVE-2026-97445

Out-of-bounds reads via truncated AML resource descriptors

Published Sep 24, 2026 · Updated Sep 24, 2026

Out-of-bounds reads in Linux before 6.12.111 and 6.18.53 allow attackers to cause unspecified impact via malformed AML resource descriptors. The acpi_ut_walk_aml_resources() loop reads descriptor header and SerialBus type fields and accepts a declared length beyond the remaining AML buffer. Linux has not published how attackers can supply the AML buffer or whether the over-read causes disclosure, a crash, or another consequence.
