CVE-2026-97442

Kernel memory corruption via oversized Wi-Fi headers

Published Sep 24, 2026 · Updated Sep 24, 2026

Memory corruption in Linux before 6.12.111 or 6.18.53 allows attackers to corrupt kernel memory via oversized native Wi-Fi headers. ath11k_dp_rx_h_undecap_nwifi accesses and modifies header fields without first rejecting lengths above DP_MAX_NWIFI_HDR_LEN. Reachability requires an ath11k device using native Wi-Fi decapsulation; the demonstrated consequence is kernel-stack corruption.
