Unspecified impact via inaccessible xHCI command queue
Published Sep 24, 2026 · Updated Sep 24, 2026
An xHCI command-queue race in Linux before 6.12.111 and 6.18.53 allows commands to be queued while the host controller is inaccessible. The queue_command function checks halted and dying controller states but, in affected kernels, fails to check HCD_FLAG_HW_ACCESSIBLE before adding entries to the command ring. The condition occurs during suspend or resume; published material identifies no attacker path and no specific crash, hang, or data impact.
