Kernel heap overflow via oversized PowerPlay table
Published Sep 24, 2026 · Updated Sep 24, 2026
Heap overflow in Linux 6.12 before 6.12.111 and 6.18 before 6.18.53 allows local users with sysfs write access to corrupt kernel memory. pp_dpm_set_pp_table() copies the sysfs store count into a soft_pp_table_size allocation without first bounding the count. The path requires write access to the AMD GPU PowerPlay sysfs attribute; successful misuse corrupts kernel heap memory and can destabilize the host.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
