Out-of-bounds array access via negative partition index
Published Sep 24, 2026 · Updated Sep 24, 2026
Out-of-bounds array access in Linux before 6.18.53 allows attackers to cause unspecified impact during CXL region construction. construct_region() uses cxled->part to index cxlds->part[] without rejecting the unresolved value -1, reading outside the array. Reachability requires an unresolved CXL partition during region construction; public sources identify no attacker privilege level or demonstrated consequence.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
