Cross-process GPU workload disclosure via unfiltered SMI events
Published Sep 24, 2026 · Updated Sep 24, 2026
Information disclosure in Linux before 6.18.53 allows local users in the render group to monitor other processes' GPU workloads. kfd_smi_event_add passes a zero PID for PROCESS_START, PROCESS_END, and VMFAULT events, causing kfd_smi_ev_enabled to skip its per-client privilege and PID filter. Access to /dev/kfd on an AMD KFD system is required, and exposure is limited to workload PIDs, command names, lifecycle events, and VM-fault activity.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
