Out-of-bounds access via RDMA length underflow
Published Sep 24, 2026 · Updated Sep 24, 2026
Integer underflow in the Linux kernel RTRS server allows remote attackers to trigger out-of-bounds memory access with a crafted RDMA request. process_read and process_write subtract peer-controlled usr_len from off without first ensuring that usr_len is no greater, so data_len wraps to a huge size_t. Reachability requires an RDMA peer connected to an RTRS/RNBD server; the wrapped length reaches rdma_ev and can access memory beyond the request chunk.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
